A brand-new eight-part podcast series, Audi | Behind the Rings, launches this week, lifting the veil on one of the most famous and iconic brands in motoring.
The eight 30-minute episodes tell the story of Audi through past, present and future via a series of lively, informal and entertaining conversations. Host Alex Goy, authority on all things motoring, takes to the mic with key figures from within the brand, as well as ambassadors and well-known friends.
In the first episode, released on 9th June, Andrew Doyle, Director of Audi UK, and Jeremy White, Executive Editor of WIRED UK, examine how the philosophy of Vorsprung durch Technik turned a small German brand into the global phenomenon it is today, which is now shaping the future of mobility.
Subsequent episodes will land weekly, covering the series’ broad sweep of subject matter: deep dives on design, electrification, motorsport, and the famous quattro marque.
Along the way, Audi | Behind the Rings examines everything from the music of motoring with Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason, to the intricate design path taken by Head of Audi Design, Marc Lichte, to create the stunning new all-electric Audi e-tron GT. Listeners will discover why racing driver Allan McNish will never complete another neck exercise, as well as actor Matt Smith’s most memorable drives.
Packed with hardcore facts for petrolheads as well as illuminating stories and anecdotes for those with a more general interest in cars, Audi | Behind the Rings is set to roar onto the podcast scene for 2021.
Audi | Behind the Rings will be available for free download or streaming. Find each episode or subscribe at Apple podcasts, Google podcasts or Spotify.
