Commercial vehicle writers compete for Guild’s Iveco award

Van and truck industry writers are encouraged to enter the Iveco Industrial Commercial Vehicle Writer of the Year category in the 2022 Guild of Motoring Writers Awards, as the 30th September deadline for entry fast approaches.

This award is presented for features by Guild members that best represent the world of commercial vehicles, and the winner receives a £500 prize and a trophy.

Features can either be on the latest innovations in vehicle technology or innovative use of commercial vehicles in day-to-day business. Judges are looking for a fresh and interesting approach to the subject.

There are 13 other categories with cash prizes available, and finalists will be announced in mid-November, with an awards ceremony to be held during a gala dinner at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, on 1st December.

Jack Carfrae was the 2021 winner of the award, his submission looking at a number of innovations in technology with direct benefits for commercial vehicle drivers, operators and other road users.

The entry form, information about all the Guild Awards, and the rules for entry can be found at www.gomw.co.uk/awards

Candidates are advised to read the online instructions carefully before entering. If you have any questions about the entry procedure, contact Honorary Secretary, Richard Netherwood at [email protected]
