Entries for the 2022 Newspress awards are now open. After an inevitable break, we are looking forward to once again honouring excellence in automotive journalism and PR.
This year there will be 22 categories, combining both PR and journalism with the winners to be announced in July at the stunning Bicester Motion in Oxfordshire.
Journalists, photographers and videographers can put forward their own work in a number of specific categories via the ‘Enter’ tab. Entries will be accepted until 11.59pm on May 31, 2022.
Contenders can enter as many relevant categories as they wish, but with only one entry per category.
Staffers and freelancers are equally welcome to apply, and all entries will be judged on merit by an independent panel of experts.

The PR awards for Press Office, PR of the Year and Rising Star are on a vote-only basis, with votes cast by Newspress-registered journalists only. In these three categories the individuals with the most votes will win. Anyone wishing to put forward candidates for the Lifetime Achievement Award are welcome to do so and can leave supporting information on the online entry form.
Winners will be announced during the new-format awards ceremony at Bicester Motion’s Heritage campus on July 21st 2022.
For the first time, the Awards will be combined with Newspress LIVE! – an all-new event that will feature a selection of cars and displays. And to celebrate this gathering of diverse machinery there is an additional award up for grabs – that of the Star Car, where judges from insurance company Footman James will pick out a vehicle owned by a member of the media that best demonstrates the joy of owning a classic car.
