The heat is on (or not): three days to go until Newspress LIVE! and Newspress Awards

There are only three days to go (including today) until Newspress LIVE! and the Newspress Awards.

Although the heatwave will probably be over by then there will be plenty of hot machinery on display for what is set to be a fantastic day at Bicester Heritage in Oxfordshire.

From 3pm on Thursday, July 21st, a selection of cars will be on display at the Oxfordshire automotive campus. There will be cars to drive (don’t forget to bring your driving licence) and a broad selection of cars, young and old, on display. Also, in the Footman James Classic Arena, vehicles owned by journalists and PRs will line up for the special Star Car Award, which will be presented to the winner during the Newspress Awards, where a total of 22 categories will be up for grabs.

As an added benefit, a number of specialists on the Bicester Heritage campus have agreed to open their doors so journalists can find out about what they do and how they do it.

Both Motorsport UK and Brabham will be offering attendees the chance to set a fastest lap on simulators and visitors will also get the chance to view its British motorsport mural, while the Little Car Company will offer guided tours with Q&As, along with a display of its latest creations.

Other specialists such as Morgan, Historit, Sky Wave Gin and Starter Motor will also be opening their doors to journalists for a natter and a quick run-down of the business and products and services on offer.

Newspress Managing Director, Tim Barfoot, said: “What a day it promises to be. We are so grateful to the specialists at Bicester Heritage who will be opening their doors to Newspress LIVE! guests. Our aim is to provide a relaxed atmosphere, where journalists can mooch about, marvel at the cars on display, have a test drive if they wish and chill out in a beautiful environment that celebrates the passion and creativity of the automotive industry.

The Awards, once again, will be a way of rewarding excellence in the automotive PR and journalism industry. Good luck to all those who have been shortlisted, and we look forward to seeing all of you.”
