Last day today to enter Guild Awards

Journalists are used to working to deadlines, and one to meet today (Friday 30th September) is to submit entries in the 2022 Guild of Motoring Writers Awards.

Entries to the Awards close at midnight tonight, with 14 categories offering cash prizes and trophies and topped by the loop/Guild of Motoring Writers Journalist of the Year.

The recipient of this award, which comes with a cash prize of £500 plus a trophy, is selected from the winners of the other awards. In 2021 it was won by James Taylor – also winner of the Prodrive Motorsport Cup on the night, James was named Journalist of the Year for his excellent work across a number of categories.

Cash prizes of up to £500 are available in other categories of the awards that recognise and reward excellence in writing and photography.

Finalists will be announced in mid-November, with the awards ceremony held as part of the Guild’s annual gala dinner at the Royal Automobile Club, Pall Mall, on 1st December.
